Daniel Berkman has an MA in Production Design from the American Film Institute (AFI) and a BA in graphic design from the UCLA Design | Media Arts program. Since graduating from the AFI in 2022, he has worked as an art assistant on multiple features such as Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” and “Crime 101,” as well as the Hulu limited series, “Good American Family.” He was approved to work as an assistant art director for ADG Local 800 projects beginning in 2025.
Before earning his master’s in production design, he worked as a freelance graphic designer specializing in commercial treatments. Daniel worked as the in-house graphic designer for Biscuit Filmworks, in addition to a myriad of other film production companies for a diverse array of directors. His graphic design work ranged from music posters to event branding, and he has contributed to art departments for shows such as Hulu’s “Quickdraw” and events such as Seth Rogen’s “Hilarity For Charity” for Netflix.
